No decision to lift or extend travel restrictions

The Army Commander General Shavendra Silva has mentioned that there has no decision made still to extend the prevailing travel restrictions beyond 7th of June but the situation around the country is being monitored regularly.

 

He further stated, it is too early to make the decision whether to lift off or extend the restrictions and Covid-19 task force is continuously reviewing the countrywide condition, gathering necessary information which is useful to make decisions.

 

The police operations are also carried out further to arrest those who violate the travel restrictions and quarantine regulations.

 

By all these, they contribute thier maximum to control the adverse situtaion created by the 3rd wave of Corona around the country.
