New Circular on Issuance of Licenses for Metals, Sand, Soil, Gravel and Clay

The Task Force is tasked with introducing a licensing system prioritizing environmental protection to overcome the difficulties faced by public, private and statutory public entities in mining, transport and trade.

 

Cabinet approval has been given to the "Minerals, Transport and Trade Code for the Construction Industry" which includes instructions on new methods developed by the Presidential Task Force.

 

The circular states that the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) should take the necessary steps to completely reorganize the program that has been implemented so far with regard to the issuance of licenses as instructed in the chapters of the Code.
