GMOA on an island-wide token strike on October 13

Following a lengthy discussion at the Central Committee of the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA), it was decided to launch a four-hour token strike islandwide next Wednesday (13) until the 2022 annual transfer list is now published.

Accordingly, a token strike will be held next Wednesday from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon and it will be decided not to apply for transfers as trade unions until the effective date of the annual transfer list is updated.

The Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) has requested the Minister of Health to take immediate action to resolve this issue regarding transfers of medical professionals and appointments as officials of the Ministry of Health are arbitrarily preparing the relevant list of transfers of doctors for the year 2022.
