Fourteen deaths as bus falls down precipice - CCTV

14 people have died while 31 others sustained injuries after a bus skidded off the road and plunged down a precipice at Passara this morning (March 20).
The fatal incident took place at 13th-milepost in Passara on Lunugala-Colombo road.

 

According to CCTV footage received the bus driver did not have an opportunity to prevent the accident.

 

Further investigations are being conducted by the Passara Police. The police have requested the public not to gather around the accident due to the corona situation.
