Former speaker W.J.M. Lokubandara passed away from Covid-19

Former Speaker W.J.M. Lokubandara passed away at age 81 on February 14.

 

He tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month and recieved treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH)  in Colombo.

 

Lokubandara served as the 16th Speaker of Parliament from 2004 to 2019.
