Focus on weather today

Showers or thundershowers will occur in many parts of the island during the evening and light showers will occur in the North, North Central and Trincomalee districts during the morning.

 

Heavy showers of more than 75 mm are expected in the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-Central, Eastern Provinces and the Hambantota District.

 

Foggy conditions are possible in some parts of the Central and Sabaragamuwa Provinces during the morning.

 

The general public is kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the damage caused by temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
