Focus on weather today

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Galle, Matara districts and in the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Western and Northwestern provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur at other places during the evening or night.

Heavy showers exceeding 50 mm are possible in the Hambantota District and in the North Central, Eastern and Uva Provinces.

The general public is urged to take necessary measures to minimize the damage caused by lightning and wind.
