Fishermen warned not to go to sea due to Strong Winds and Rough Sea areas
The Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre at the Department of Meteorology issued A ‘Strong Winds and Rough Sea areas warning’ on September 6.
It noted that the speed of the wind is possile to rise up to 70 kmph in the sea areas.
The fishermen have been urged not to go out to the sea till 12 noon on September 7, as the sea areas around the island can be extremely rough
