Egg prices to reduce by Rs 2 from September 7

The All Ceylon Egg Producers Association has reached an agreement to reduce the price of an egg by Rs.2 on September 7.

 

The said decision has been reached after a discussion which was held between Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and the representatives of the All Ceylon Egg Producers Association.

 

The President of the Association, R. M. Sarath stated that the retail price of an egg could range from Rs 21 ato 22  and he also  added that there is no shortage of eggs in Sri Lanka.
