EC convenes meeting with LG commissioners and asst. commissioners

 

The Election Commission has called the Local Government Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners for a meeting on February 11.

The Chairman of the Election Commission Mr. Nimal G. Punchihewa said that in this meeting the officials will be informed about the local government election process to be held on March 9.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission says that no response has been received from the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance in relation to the request made regarding the expenses required for the preparation of local government polls in February.
