Doctors warn of acute shortages of medical equipment and medicines

 

The All Ceylon Medical Officers Association says that although a proper solution has not been provided to the acute shortage of medicines, a serious shortage of equipment used for medical services has emerged in the country.

The association pointed out that the warehouses of the Ministry of Health and local pharmacies have only limited stocks of medicines.

Health professionals including medical officers have been emphasizing that the shortage of medicines in all government hospitals has worsened day by day and there is also a shortage of medical equipment.
