Do not shirk responsibility of rebuilding the economy - President tells CB chiefs

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa said that the  Central Bank of Sri Lanka has not supported the proposals that had been put forward by the Government of Sri Lanka to rebuild the economy.

 

He criticized the CBSL officials  for failing to come up with proposals to strengthen the Sri Lankan economy, where on the contrary,  the Central Banks of many  countries have proposed a number of strategies to facilitate national economic revival. 

 

The President made these strictures during a meeting with the officials led by the Governor of the Central Bank, held at the Presidential Secretariat today (16).
