Trade Union Leader murdered in Mirihana

Chairman of the National  Self-Employed Professionals’ Three-Wheeler Federation Sunil Jayawardana has been assaulted to death in Mirihana.

 

Police said that the victim was beaten to death in an assault following a heated argument that broke out over the lease of a three-wheeler involving a leasing company. 

 

Eight suspects have been arrested on suspicion over the murder.
