Cabinet approval to amend Buddhist Temporalities Act

 

The Council of Ministers has approved the preparation of a new draft by the draftsman amending the Buddhist Temples Act Ordinance. 19 of 1931, as appropriate for the present based on proposals by all denominations.

The Presidential Media Division reported that the Cabinet approved the preparation of a new draft by the law draftsman based on the unanimous amendments to a bill for a Theravada monk discourse based on the agreement of all denominations.
