Blood can be donated one week after receiving the covid vaccine

The National Blood Transfusion Service urges blood donors to refrain from donating blood during the first week of life after receiving any dose of a corona vaccine.
Its director, Dr. Lakshman Edirisinghe, also said that people with symptoms similar to the corona virus should not visit blood transfusion centers until they have recovered.
People who are eligible to donate blood are requested to make an appointment and come to their nearest centers.
