Focus on weather today

Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Galle, Matara districts and in the Sabaragamuwa, Western, Central and Northwestern provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Eastern and Uva provinces during the evening or night.

Winds will be 40-50 kmph in the North, North Central, North Western, Southern and Western provinces on the western slopes of the Central Highlands.

The general public is urged to take necessary measures to minimize the damage caused by lightning and wind.
