Government suspends orders to obtain oxygen from India

The government has decided to suspend the order to purchase 1080 tons of liquid oxygen from India.

This decision was made in view of the significant reduction in the number of patients currently dependent on oxygen.

Daily oxygen consumption is reduced to 70 tons. At present there are only 560 patients who are dependent on oxygen, Dr. R.M.
Saman Kusumsiri Ratnayake said.
