Army Commander General Shavendra Silva recieves COVID-19 vaccine

Army Commander General Shavendra Silva received the Covid vaccine at the Army Hospital in Colombo, today (March 6).

 

“I was the last man to receive the jab from the frontliners. I had informed that I will take the vaccine only after all frontliners are inoculated,” he said.

 

The Indian High Commissioner who took part in the occasion has assured that he would get down another separate consignment of vaccines exclusively for tri service personnel at work combating the pandemic.
