Approval for online liquor sales

The Excise Department has received the approval for online liquor sales by the Ministry of Finance.

Due to the travel restrictions imposed for nearly one month, opening liquor outlets were banned. The Commissioner -General of Excise Department has mentioned that the request was made due to the high demand of liquor ordering online and selling illegal liquor also has increased during this period.

He further said that upon the request of many institutions, the request was made through a letter to the Ministry of Finance and obtaining the approval will make them easy to control the situation and stop illegal  distribution of liquor.
