Anawilundawa Wetland Sanctuary clearence : Minister Sanath Nishantha defends parties involved and denies connection to clearing

State Minister of Rural and Regional Drinking Water Supply Projects Sanath Nishantha  has denied connection to clearing of the Anawilundawa wetland sanctuary and defended the respective parties involved in the said clearing. 

 

He stated that he has carried out an inspection in the bulldozed area and informed President Gotabaya Rajapaksa that no eco-damage had been caused in the area owing to the clearing and he has no involvement in the same.
