All hospital staff on strike

From 7 to 11 this morning, all hospital staff in the island have decided to resign in protest of the circular issued to all public servants to report for duty.

Ravi Kumudesh, president of the Medical Laboratory Technologists' Association, said paramedics, nurses and public health inspectors would also join the strike.

The island-wide two-day sick leave reporting program launched by hospital junior staff ended this morning.
