A prison inmate of the Welikada Prison hospitalized after mobile phone gets stuck in rectum

An inmate of the Welikada prison has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital to retrieve a mobile phone that was reportedly stuck in his rectum.

 

The inmate was transferred to the Colombo National Hospital after doctors at the Welikada prison hospital failed to retrieve the mobile phone and the inmate has showcased extreme discomfort.

 

As per the investigations,  the inmate who has been a suspect  produced in court over a drug offence had possessed a mobile phone before he returned to the prison, which he had hidden in his rectum.
