A gradual surge in HIV infections among Sri Lankan youth

The National STD/AIDS Control Programme stated that there is a risk of a gradual surge in the HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infections among Sri Lankan youth.
Accordingly, the highest number of HIV infections have been reported in males who are aged between 19 and 25 years.
3,600 people have been diagnosed with HIV infection in Sri Lanka so far nwhere only 2,000 of them are being treated.
