A fisherman who was swept away by a flood in the Kotmale area has been rescued

Troops rescued a man who was fishing in the sea around Kotmale Oya.

On the instructions of the Commanding Officer of the 5 VIR, the troops used nylon ropes to rescue the drowning fisherman who was trapped in the whirlpool before being brought ashore.
