FUTA is to implement A/L answer script evaluation

A decision has been taken by the university teachers to take part in the evaluation of answer scripts of 2022 Advanced Level examination with effect from today.

 

Chairman Prof. Shyama Banneheka of the Federation of University Teachers’ Association (FUTA) said its members would not be subdued by the political pressure.

 

He made the statement today addressing a press briefing in the evening (May 04), 

 

Prof. Banneheka said the FUTA has called off its trade union action, however, vowed to continue their fight.

 

Due to the trade union action launched by the FUTA, against the new tax policy, the evaluation of answer sheets was delayed by at least two months. 

 

They urged the government to scrap the recently-imposed excessive taxes. The parents of the students have appealed to postpone the trade union until finishing the answer script evaluation of 2022 Advanced Level Examination.
