“The qualified students should be given the opportunity for higher education even in private universities”

Since many students who are qualified are still deprived of the opportunity of higher education, they should be given an opportunity to obtain higher education even through private universities, the Chairman of the commission Senior Prof. Sampath Amaratunge stated.

He also stated that the majority of local schools that teach Advanced Level do not have the science stream, and added that he further noted that the regulation of private universities in the country is not sufficient.
