A human sacrifice is revealed after four years

Accused of conducting a human sacrifice, Indian police arrested five men nearly after four years. The victim's headless body compelled the officers to follow the case.

 

A woman named Shanti Shaw, 64-year-old, was killed with a machete in 2019 after a visit to the temple in Guwahati which is a remote city in the northeast.

 

Until the officers found and identified Shaw's body in January, the Police made no progress. The identity of several culprits has been revealed though the others are still at large.

 

The police commissioner of Guwahati said that the alleged ringleader named Pradeep Pathak (52) seems to believe, as a religious ritual, that a human sacrifice can bring peace to his brother's soul who has recently died.
