11 people died in India from the sunstroke, 50 were hospitalized

The chief minister of Maharashtra state said, at least eleven people had died on Sunday after suffering from sunstroke at an event attended by India’s home minister around Mumbai.
On Sunday afternoon, thousands of people took part in an award ceremony where the federal home minister also attended. The event was held in Khargar, in the afternoon. The place usually records 38 degrees Celsius, normally this time of the year.
Around 50 people were admitted to the hospital while 11 is reported died.
India tends to experience heat waves between March and May, but this year it’s in February, according to the weather office.
