Four key players released ahead of final ODI against New Zealand

Sri Lanka Cricket selectors have decided to release Kusal Mendis, Pathum Nissanka, Kamindu Mendis, and Asitha Fernando from the squad ahead of the third and final ODI against New Zealand.

 

The SLC said that the decision was made to allow these players sufficient time to recover and prepare for the upcoming Test series against South Africa.

 

In their place, Nuwanidu Fernando, Lahiru Udara, and Eshan Malinga have been added to the ODI squad as replacements.

 

The third and final ODI of the ongoing series is scheduled for November 19th at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
