Ruling party MPs to discuss Domestic Debt Restructuring with President Wickremesinghe

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has requested a special meeting with MPs from the ruling party to discuss the Domestic Debt Restructuring (DDR) process.
This meeting aims to have a thorough discussion before the scheduled special session of Parliament on Saturday, July 1st, where the government's plan for domestic debt restructuring will be debated.
As the Minister of Finance, President Wickremesinghe has explained the DDR program. Within five years, the government aims to restructure $17 billion of the total external debt, which amounts to $41.5 billion.
