Skeletons in LTTE uniforms unearthed at Kokkuthoduvai, Mullaitivu

On Thursday evening, several skeletons dressed in uniforms worn by female cadres of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) were found at Kokkuthoduvai in Mullaitivu. 

 

 

The discovery was made during excavation work carried out by workers of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) laying water pipes in the area.

 

 

Upon finding the skeletons, the NWSDB officials halted the digging and promptly informed the Kokkuthoduvai police. The police, in turn, told the Mullaitivu court about the discovery. 

 

 

The court instructed the police to cordon off the area and commence excavations to investigate the findings further.
