EC calls for submission of legal documents on rejected nominations

 The Election Commission (EC) has requested secretaries and authorised representatives of political parties, as well as leaders of independent groups, to submit copies of any petitions and court judgments to the relevant District Election Offices.

 

This request applies in instances where legal action has been taken against the rejection of nomination papers submitted for the Local Authorities elections, scheduled to be held on May 6, 2025.

 

The Commission emphasised the importance of promptly providing these documents to ensure the proper conduct and legal clarity of the upcoming election process.
