Bus falls down precipice, one killed, 30 injured

An elderly woman was killed and 30 others were injured when a passenger bus fell into a precipice in the Ulpotha area of Meegahakivula, Badulla, this morning, the police said.

 

The bus, packed with passengers, overturned about 40 feet down a cliff.

 

The police also stated that the injured individuals have been taken to Meegahakivula Hospital, with eight people in critical condition being transferred to Badulla General Hospital.
