Security tightened near churches

 Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Tennakoon has instructed all police stations to deploy special security measures at churches hosting Easter Sunday services.

 

A total of 6,522 police officers, 320 Police Special Task Force officers, and 2,746 military personnel have been deployed to secure 1,873 Christian churches across the island.
