Former President Sirisena to appear before CID today

Former President Maithripala Sirisena is scheduled to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department today (25).

 

The former President had been summoned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at 10.30 a.m. today to record a statement.

 

Public Security Minister Tiran Alas instructed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to conduct an urgent investigation over the statement made by the former President in Kandy recently that he knew the people involved in the Easter Sunday that took place on 21 April 2019.
