Two Afghan passengers arrested at BIA

Two Afghanistan passengers who attempted to enter the country on forged passports were arrested early this morning by the Immigration and Emigration officers at the Katunayake International Airport.
The two men aged 21 and 23, bearing forged Kazakhstan passports had arrived from Kuwait.
The suspect passengers who produced their passports to the Immigration and Emigration officers have been handed over to the Border Surveillance Unit for further examination of their travel documents.
Investigations revealed that they were in possession of forged passports. Step was taken to deport them to Kuwait by the same flight.
