Transport services declared essential services

A Gazette notification was issued yesterday, declaring public transport services as an essential service

 

The gazette was issued by the President's Secretary E.M.S.B. Ekanayake. 

 

Accordingly, public transport services for passengers or goods and the provision and maintenance of facilities for transport services by road, rail, including roads, bridges, culverts and railway lines have been declared as essential services.
