2022 A/L cut-off marks for university entrance released

The eagerly awaited minimum Z-scores for university admissions for the academic year 2022/2023, based on the 2022 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination, have been officially announced.
Addressing a media briefing this afternoon (01 Dec), Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Prof. Sampath Amaratunga revealed that out of the 274,304 students who undertook the examination, a notable 166,967 have met the criteria for university admission.
The results of the 2022/2023 A/L exams were initially published online on 04 September, with re-scrutinized results following on 24 November. The examination attracted a substantial participation of 232,797 school applicants and 31,136 private applicants. Of these, 149,487 school applicants and 17,451 private applicants have successfully qualified for admission into universities.
