Train derailment delays all services on main line

A train derailment at the Gampaha railway station on the main line has disrupted services, with only one of the two tracks currently in operation, the Railways Department said.

 

They stated that the train scheduled to depart from Colombo Fort railway station to Meerigama at 4:25 p.m. derailed at the Gampaha station at 5:30 p.m.

 

As a result, only one track remains operational, and all train services on the main line are expected to be delayed.
