Woman stabbed to death over love row

A 59-year-old woman was stabbed to death in what police described was over an illicit love affair. The incident took place at a location in Labuhengoda-Muruthagoda shortly after dusk on Monday (April 12), police said.

 

The victim succumbed to her injuries on admission to the Embilipitiya hospital, while a police have launched a search for the suspect who is believed to have fled the area shortly after the incident.

 

Middeniya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
