Water levels in Hatton reservoirs have risen due to heavy rains

The water level in Castlereagh Reservoir has risen sharply due to heavy rains in the central highlands for several days and the Horton Wimalasurendra Reservoir is overflowing, the reservoir official said.

He further said that steps have already been taken to generate hydropower using the water from those reservoirs.
