School start dates postponed

Minister of Education GL Peiris Mr. Peiris said schools could not start in September as planned due to the prevailing Covid situation.

He said that due to the prevailing Covid situation, all teachers could not be vaccinated and schools could not be started systematically and it was appropriate at this time to teach all students online.
