Veteran singer Sunil Perera passes away

Veteran singer and musician Sunil Perera, the leader of the 'Gypsies' band, who was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo, has passed away this morning.

He was 68 years old at the time of his death and was discharged from the hospital last month after recovering from a Covid infection.

However, he was hospitalized again due to a recurring illness and passed away this morning.
