UNP Leadership : Ranil Wickremesinghe to remain as leader for 6 more months

The Leader of the United National Party,  Ranil Wickremesinghe will step down from his position following the upcoming Provincial Council election,stated the  General Secretary of the party,  Akila Viraj Kariyawasam on August 15.

 

Mr. Wickremasinghe has conveyed the above during the meeting held at Sirikotha , on August 15 (yesterday).

 

Furthermore, he has added that the party should be handed over to  a young leader .
