UN chief condemns attacks on civilians during visit to Ukraine

The UN chief said Ukraine had become a "center of unbearable heartache and pain" - a statement that came shortly after the first Russian offensive in the capital, just weeks after the military retreat in Moscow.

Russia hit targets across Ukraine on Thursday, according to Ukrainian emergency services.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a rally in Kiev, injuring at least 10 people, including one who had lost a leg.
