Focus on weather today

Showers or thundershowers during the afternoon or night in many parts of the island.

Thundershowers will develop at several places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and North-Central provinces. Heavy showers of more than 50 mm are also possible in some places.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning in those areas during thundershowers.
