The minimum wage in the private sector will be revised

The Commissioner of Labor has announced that the monthly and daily minimum wage of private sector employees in Sri Lanka has been increased.

Accordingly, the National Minimum Wage has been revised to Rs. 12,500 per month and Rs. 500 per day with effect from 16 August 2021.
