The EU is set to reopen external borders for 15 countries, excluding SL

Contradictory to the government's proclamation on Sri Lanka being victorious before the COVID-19 crisis, the European Union has decided not to include Sri Lanka to the list of countries which are allowed to enter the Europe, reports claimed.

The European Union is set to reopen for 54 countries around the world from July 01 onwards.

Sri Lanka not being included in the list stands quite significant compared to the fact that India which holds a greater amount of COVID-19 patients in the region has also been included in the list.

More significantly, countries like Bhutan, Costa Rica, Nambia, Ruwanda, Dominic, Murusi, Cuba, Uganda and Ethiopea have been recognised above our island.
