Sri Lanka to amend minimum age for women leaving for foreign housemaid jobs

The government has decided to revise the minimum age limit for Sri Lankan women leaving foreign employment as housemaids.

Accordingly, the Cabinet has approved to revise the minimum age limit to 21 years.

However, the minimum age for Saudis is 25 years and for other Middle Eastern countries it is 23 years.
