School holidays to end on June 29 - Public Schools to re-open under four stages

Education Minister Dullas Alahapperuma stated schools will re-open on the 29th of June in  four separate stages. 

 

A disinfection process will be carried out in school premises during the week.

 

Accordngly, the schools will reopen for Grades 5, 11, and 13 on the 6th of July.

 

The Schools will re-open for Grades 10 & 12 on 20th of July.

 

Grades 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 will resume academic activities on the 27th of July.

 

The Minister also said that a decision in relation to the Grades 1 and 2 has not yet been reached.
